$1.6 Million Grant will aid Medical Technology Developments

The GE Foundation has provided a grant to Jhpiego to enable them to develop low-cost medical technology to treat women and children in developing countries. Jhpiego is a non-profit international health organisation that is associated with the John Hopkins University and plans to take these future advanced medical technology devices from the lab to the rural areas with the aim of improving health and saving lives across the world.

 

The GE Foundation provides grants and encourages initiatives that help solve global problems and improve global health while assisting with disaster relief, human rights and community success among others. The GE Foundation has provided this grant in order to support the two year collaboration and the development of new medical devices and technology.
