NHS Looking for New Healthcare Apps

The search is on for new and innovative healthcare apps; Andrew Lansley, the UK’s Health Secretary, has announced the launch of a competition that invites GPs, developers, nurses, patients and anyone with a clinical job to submit their ideas for mobile healthcare apps, with the aim of helping people to make more informed healthcare decisions. Mr Lansley says that the competition presents “a unique opportunity for the NHS and those who develop apps to… bring to life new ideas and realise true innovation in healthcare”.
